Robovanta builds robotic machine-tending and robotic welding cells, and Tollaston is an authorized dealer across Canada and the US. The line is Japanese-engineered and suits shops automating machine loading or welding without adding headcount. We carry the RV-Tend 12 and RV-Tend 20 tending cells, and the RV-Weld 1400 and RV-Weld Duo welding cells, all sharing the Robovanta ArcCore controller (MotionCell on the welding cells). Every purchase includes a real test on your own material or parts at our Vaughan Tech Centre, applications engineering from your first quote through your first production run, Robovanta parts stocked in our Vaughan warehouse, and factory-trained service technicians across Canada and the US.

Single-robot welding cell
RV-Weld 1400
The RV-Weld 1400 is Robovanta's entry welding cell, built for shops taking their first step into automated welding without committing to a multi-station system. A single 20 kg-payload, 1400 mm (55") reach robot arm welds MIG or TIG around a single-station rotary positioner rated to 300 kg (660 lb), with through-arc seam tracking to handle normal fit-up variation. The Robovanta MotionCell control's offline simulation lets your team build and check programs before the first live weld. Tollaston programs your first parts, proves weld quality on your own fixtures, and trains your welders on operation and torch-consumable service.

Dual-robot welding cell
RV-Weld Duo
The RV-Weld Duo puts two robot arms around a shared 2-station rotary positioner, so one station welds while the other loads — the cell never sits idle waiting on an operator. Each arm carries a 20 kg payload with a 2000 mm (79") reach and runs MIG or TIG processes, switchable by program, with seam-tracking sensors that adjust the torch path to part-to-part variation in fit-up. The Robovanta MotionCell control synchronizes both arms and the positioner so programs written for one station run identically on the other. Tollaston programs your first parts, proves weld quality on your own fixtures, and trains your welders on program editing and torch-consumable service.

RV-Tend 12
The RV-Tend 12 is Robovanta's entry machine-tending cell, built to load and unload parts on an existing CNC mill, lathe or grinder so it keeps running through breaks, shift changes and overnight. A 12 kg payload and 1,650 mm reach cover the majority of small-to-mid part tending jobs, with a dual-shelf storage tower holding up to 48 parts between operator visits. The cell talks to any CNC control through a universal machine-tool interface, so it drops in next to a Kaizora VMC just as readily as an existing machine already on your floor. Tollaston typically pairs the RV-Tend 12 with a customer's first automation project — a single repeat job that currently ties up an operator for a full shift is usually the fastest payback.

RV-Tend 20
The RV-Tend 20 scales Robovanta's tending platform up to a 20 kg payload and 2,000 mm reach for heavier castings, larger fixtures and multi-part pallets that outgrow the RV-Tend 12. An optional 7th-axis rail lets a single robot service two or three machines in a row instead of sitting dedicated to one, which is where the real automation payback shows up for shops running several similar machines. A modular storage tower holds up to 96 parts, and a tool-changer-equipped gripper handles multiple part geometries in the same cell. Tollaston is the flagship automation recommendation for customers with a Kaizora HMC or KM-2600 mill-turn cell already running production, where the RV-Tend 20's payload and reach match the larger parts those machines handle.
