Advantages
Why Choose 5-Axis Machining Centres?
One Setup, Every Face
Simultaneous 5-axis motion reaches compound angles that would need multiple 3-axis re-fixtures.
Post-Processor Built For You
Our applications engineers develop and prove your first 5-axis program before the machine ships.
One Control Across the Range
The Brenvoss Vantis 5X control is identical from the BX5-400 to the BX5-1000.
Parts and Service Nationwide
Factory-trained technicians and stocked spares cover installations across Canada and the US.

5-axis trunnion machining centre
BX5-400
The BX5-400 is Brenvoss's entry into simultaneous 5-axis machining, built around a 400 mm trunnion table for parts that need multiple compound angles finished in a single setup. An HSK-A63 spindle spinning to 18,000 rpm and a continuous C-axis with -30° to +120° of A-axis tilt let it reach faces a 3-axis machine would need three separate fixtures for. Tollaston sets this machine up most often for shops moving into aerospace bracket or medical implant work for the first time, where the accuracy and the setup reduction matter more than raw table size. Our applications engineers develop your post-processor and first simultaneous 5-axis program in the Vaughan Tech Centre so you aren't learning the toolpath strategy and the machine at the same time.

5-axis trunnion machining centre
BX5-1000
The BX5-1000 scales the Brenvoss trunnion platform up to a 1,000 mm table and 800 kg load rating for customers whose parts have simply outgrown the BX5-650. An HSK-A100 spindle delivering 200 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm handles heavier structural aerospace components and large mold tooling that need 5-axis access but also need real metal-removal rate. The A-axis tilts -30° to +110° with continuous C-axis rotation, giving the same reach into compound angles as the smaller models on a much larger part envelope. Tollaston installs the BX5-1000 for shops doing large airframe structural work, big impeller housings, and heavy mold bases that need every face finished without a re-fixture.

FAQ
5-Axis Machining Centres Questions
Answers to common questions about our 5-axis machining centres products.
A 5-axis trunnion machine tilts and rotates the part under the spindle, reaching compound angles and undercuts in one setup that would otherwise need multiple 3-axis operations and manual re-fixturing — critical for impellers, aerospace brackets and complex mold cavities.
Most modern CAM packages already support simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths; our applications engineers develop the specific post-processor for the Vantis 5X control as part of your purchase.
The BX5-400 suits compact precision work like medical instruments, the BX5-650 is our flagship for aerospace and impeller production, and the BX5-1000 handles large structural components and heavy mold tooling.
There's a real learning curve around workholding and toolpath strategy, which is why every Brenvoss purchase includes on-site training and a proven program from our applications engineers rather than a blank machine and a manual.
Tollaston's factory-trained technicians cover preventive maintenance and emergency service across Canada and the US, with common Brenvoss spare parts stocked in our Vaughan warehouse.
